If you are a fan of Southern Gospel or contemporary Christian music, then I am sure you are acquainted with Bill & Gloria Gaither. The Gaither Music Company has revolutionized the gospel industry with their original songs, merchandise and Gaither Homecoming concerts and events. The new Gaither.com launched in 2011, and I am happy to say I took over its account management duties in January of this year. The Gaither.com community was at the top of my list of things I wanted to work on. I carefully read through the threads of concerns in the existing community and studied the old Ning community. After assessing the situation, we drew out a new game plan and were ready to put the changes into motion. 

If you haven’t been to Gaither.com lately, you should take a moment to view the changes firsthand. With the help of the very talented Evan Willhite we have created an easy to pilot community page. Members can effortlessly access their profiles, messages, groups and the existing live feed. We also added a new forum and a “Get Featured” section, which features a new Gaither.com community member every Monday, and there is a new step-by-step tutorial for anyone who needs a little bit of extra help navigating the site. All in all, we kept the community features that Gaither's fans loved and added new functions to make the page user friendly and more engaging overall.

I am proud to be part of the Gaither.com family and am happy to report that the changes made have been a huge success. Each day I am inspired by new content provided by the loyal community members. I feel a part of something that is bigger than me, and that feels good. One great perk of this job is that I really feel as if I am connecting to the fans I work for. The Gaither.com community will undoubtedly continue to grow, and I’ll be sure to keep you updated on all of its happenings.
